Aussie Association Of Somalia visited Dayniile District where there are new IDPs from different parts of hostile Somalia.

Most of the IDPs interacted with were either running away from violence or drought that has left their places unfavourable with no food and water.

The situation assessed calls for;

  • 1. Shelter
  • 2. Food
  • 3. Emergency Medication
  • 4. Education services to school going children.
  • 5. WASH services.

I’m some camps the IDPs were sharing 1 toilet both male and female with populations over 200 and this put them into ristlk of contracting diseases and STIs.

Humanitarian actors are encouraged to intervene and provide the needed suport.
