The Aussie Association of Somalia (AAS) organized a football tournament on November 29, 2024, for the youth of Bosaso. This tournament was part of efforts to promote peace and raise awareness among young people about the dangers of irregular migration.

The project, supported by the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), provided a platform for young people to showcase their talents and foster community unity through sports.

Hundreds of spectators from various neighborhoods of Bosaso attended the event, expressing their enthusiasm and support for youth development through sports. Their participation turned the tournament into a remarkable success.

The primary goal of the initiative was to inspire young people to pursue a better future through peace and development rather than risking their lives through hazardous migration routes. The AAS has pledged to continue similar initiatives to contribute to the well-being and development of Somali youth.
